Dr. Rafael Oliva

He obteined his degree in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Barcelona in 1984 and his PhD at the same faculty in 1986. PostPhD training in the Medical Biochemistral Department at the University of Calgary, Canadà, 1986-1989, and PostPhD training in the Human Genome Center of Laboratories Lawrence Berkeley in California, USA. Professor and Coordinator of Medical Genetic subject since 2001, and Senior Especialist in Hospital Clínic since 1996.

Topics of Research: Proteomica and Genomica of human infertility. nuclear proteins, genetic expression and genoma organization in the spermatozoid. Germinal integrity and disease.

Teaching: Medical genetic. Human Genome and news advances in research, diagnosis and treatment

Dra. Montserrat Jaumot Pijoan

She obteined her degree in Biology at the University of Barcelona in 1989 and her PhD in Biology at the same University in 1998. PostPhD training at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, (1999-2001). Professor in the Celular Biology and Patologics Department. She has been a researcher Ramon i Cajal at the same departament since de l’any 2003.

Topics of Research: Control mechanism of the cellular cicle. Regulation mechanism of oncogen Ras. Proteomica of the cellular cicle.

Teaching: Professor of Cellular Biology and Development Biology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Barcelona.

Dr. Àngel Messeguer

He obtained his degree in Chemistry at the University of Barcelona in 1969 and his PhD in Chemistry at the same University in 1974. PostPhD training at the University of Cornell (USA) during 1978-1979. He is Research Professor of the Consell Superior d'Investigacions Científiques since 1991 and works in Institut d'investigacions Químiques i Ambientals de Barcelona, where he manages the Unidad de Química Bioorgànica. Nowadays he is also Director in this Institut and President of the Societat Catalana de Química.

Topics of Research: Medical Chemistry, combinatory chemistry, antioxidizers, citotoxics products.

Teaching: he has taken part as a professor in diferents courses of the third cicle at the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Barcelona.

Dra. Cristina Minguillón Llombart

She obteined her degree in Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Barcelona i 1981 and her PhD in Pharmacy at the same University in 1987. PostPhD training at the Conservatoire National del Arts et Metiers in París, France (1990). Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Barcelona in the Pharmacological Departament since 1991.

Nowadays she develops her research activity at the Institut de Recerca Biomèdica del Parc Científic de Barcelona.
