Basic requirement

Being student of 1st or 2nd cicle in the degree of Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology or Nutrition in some catalan university and taking part or having take part in a biomedical research project in a national or foreign university.
All the students who have a previous degree related to the meeting field are excluded.

Abstracts

If you want to take part as an active participant you will need to sent us an abstract of your project before 27th March 2008, 14:00h.

Abstracts will be done following the predetermined form and will be sent by email to:

premigrr@yahoo.com

They will have 500 words as a maximum length and will have the following parts:

• Title
• Author or Authors (only the first author will be able to take part actively)
• University where you did the research project
• University where you usually study.
• Contingut: Aim, Material and methods, Outcomes, Conclusions. Say your contribution in research project. Don't add pictures or photographs.

All the projects will only be showed by one speaker, although a group of researchers did it. You have to decide who will take part actively. The certificate, if you win the award, is only for this speaker, although in the winner abstract will appear all the names.

With the abstract you need to fill out and send us the participation form to premigrr@yahoo.com.

Selection process

A jury consisted of researchers and university professors and lecturers will decide the abstracts which have the minimun quality required to be shown in the meeting.

In 29th Març 2008 you will find in this site the name of the students accepted in the meeting

Presentations during the meeting

Each presentation will last 10 minuts and then the jury will ask some questions for 5 minuts.

The presentation will be given some days before the meeting in a CD/pen drive in PowerPoint. Day and hour will be said as soon as we can.

The presentations will be hold at the Faculty of Medicine (Campus Casanova) at University of Barcelona in 8, 9 and 10th April 2008, from 15:00 to 20:00 h.

Awards

Three awards will be given to the best presentations of the congress.

1st Prize 1000 euros, funded through Encarna Romero Buiza, mother of Gemma Rosell i Romero.

2nd Prize 500 euros, funded through the Catalan and Balearic Academy Foundation of Health and Medical Sciences (ACMCB).

3rd Prize 300 euros, funded through the Catalan Health Sciences Students´Association (AECS).

Omnis Cellula publication

The 1st winner will have the oportunity to publicate an article about the project in the october edition in 2009 in Omnis Cellula in the section Jove Científic.
